I've been threatening to write a book for some time, and haven't yet got around to it (largely through inertia). In order to start making some more progress towards this goal, I'm going to start serialising posts here that I can subsequently collate together as a book.

Of course, it's important to note that the content here is copyright (c) © Alex Blewitt 2007 and all rights are reserved. That being said, I intend to leave the serialised content up on this blog after and in any case, the book will be freely available as a PDF. I will investigate some kind of publishing-on-demand service (like Lulu) for those that want hardcopies and to generally save printer ink, though not as a hardback (why do people insist on still publishing those?). Interested publishers may wish to contact me separately but as this is an independent effort, probably towards the end of this process.

Updates aren't going to be think and fast here; nor are they going to be organised. It's just a way for me to store notes that just happen to be publicly available. If you wish to make any comments (pointing out factual errors, suggestions etc.) then please do so; however, I require that you consent to including those comments in the final book (and attributing those people in the Acknolwedgements section). So if you don't agree to that, please don't file any comments.
